MindPower stands for helping students, athletes, and everyone else raise awareness for the importance of staying healthy from a mental standpoint. The MindPower Podcasts helps break our mental barriers by having an active discussion about mental health related topics with special guests who understand and have been able to overcome their own mental barriers to achieve success in some way or form in the hopes to inspire and educate the next generation of leaders. Carla Diaz is a mental performance coach for the Tampa Bay Rays. She joins Anjel to discuss the importance of athletes having a mental performance coach. Carla is a living example of dealing what life throws at you with the best attitude possible and making the best of your situations. Her perseverance has helped her achieve a position in a new wave of mental health in professional sports, at the forefront of a male dominated field. Carla exemplifies what it means to have MindPower.

DeAnthony Williams runs an elite sport performance training facility that specializes in athletic development, personal training, and community fitness. DeAnthony discusses the struggles he faced after retiring from sports and finding his calling as a performance coach and personal trainer, with mental strength being one of the key factors to being able to overcome his obstacles and become the role model to be able to make an impact on athletes off the field. Samantha Britz, one of the founding members of MindPower joins Anjel on episode 8. Samantha who currently resides in Wyoming, is a med student at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Growing up in a small town, her experiences growing up has developed into a passion for providing adequate healthcare for everyone and also focusing on preventative medicine as well as diet and nutrition. Sam gives some great insight into how mental health plays a role into being healthy from a physical standpoint as well as a mental standpoint. Challenges and obstacles come in all shapes in sizes and Sam and Anjel talk about different way and resources and identify you mental state of being and seeking help for it as well. Sam wraps up the last current member of the MindPower team and exemplifies the values of mindpower everyday!


Maria Wilson joins Anjel on this weeks episode. Maria, who is at working on her PhD in Clinical Psychology as well as a Research Assistant at Arizona State University, discusses her role in MindPower and how her goals and values align with MindPower. As a Miami native, Maria breaks down the difficult challenge of moving away from home for the first time in her life, and adjusting to life on her own at her new school, which can be a very tough transition for anyone. Maria has a passion in dismantling inequality in health care service, specifically in minority groups.


Fulltime Student-Athlete, Jackson Hughes, joins Anjel Clemente on this weeks episode. As the Athlete Mentor Program Director at MindPower, Jackson introduces the Athlete Mentor Program and the impact it will have shaping future athletes and leaders. Jackson, who also started his own business, Redbird Recruiting, discusses the challenges being a young entrepreneur as a college athlete, and the struggles of juggling so many aspects of his life. Jackson is another living example using mental strength to conquer the challenges in life to pursue one's ambition with drive, passion, and resilience.


Hunter Moore joins host Anjel Clemente from Wyoming to share his insane and emotional journey on his way to become a real estate investor and overcome numerous obstacles and set back of all shapes and sizes. As a 21 year old working full time in the National Guard, Hunter discusses his roughest moments, as well as his major setbacks and being able to turn them all around and seeing success in the market with 7 current rental properties. Hunter is a living example of breaking through ones mental barriers and overcoming personal adversity to push forward and not give up during rough times. Anjel and Hunter also fact check a couple TikTok real estate myths.


Anjel brings is long time friend, Coach Guerby Ruuska, who coaches for the Greater Tampa Swimming Association as well as at the University of Tampa. Guerby gives some insight on his journey as a coach and some of the things he's learned that have developed his philosophy of putting the athlete's experience first. Ruuska, who also represented Haiti as the world championships in South Korea in 2019, shares his experience, the mental struggles of that trip, and what he took away from a once in a lifetime opportunity.


Cary Hughes, who helps market hundreds of companies to the senior population to help bridge the gap of communication for the betterment of their health, hops on a call with Anjel to discuss the start and inspiration for his marketing business and live. Cary fills this episode with tons of tips, advice, and background to help give insight for anyone looking to pursue a their business and working in the 'helping people business'.


Obed Bazile hopes on as he and Anjel discuss young entrepreneurship. Obed, who started his own detailing business as a college student gives insight to the early struggles, and the mentality, and the success he's been able to achieve as a young entrepreneur looking to grow his wealth and become his own boss. Obed drops some great tips and knowledge on achieving success with the right mentality.
